In the spring of 1976, two brothers, Rick and Serge Dilorenzo, set out to pursue their lifelong dream of musical success. That journey gave birth to VIKTIM.
Over the years, they navigated the highs and lows of a tough industry. Along with mastering their craft, they understood the importance of financial discipline and marketing. As the brothers often said, “No matter the business, a business is a business. Only the playing field changes.” This mindset, combined with their talent, helped them rise quickly.
Within just five years, VIKTIM signed a record deal and soon reached international attention with two successful releases. Billboard Magazine even referred to them as “America’s Duran Duran” after the debut of their self-titled album VIKTIM, which featured two radio singles: “Dancers In The Night” and “Night Living.” Their second album, Shereena, followed with another radio single of the same name.
After years of recording, touring, and television appearances, the band stepped back to explore the creative world behind the scenes. During this time, they built their own facility, Alamo Recording Studios, where they focused on writing, recording, and producing for other artists.
